Politics & Money to Mix-It-Up!
I’ve been catching my breath, taking a pause in my frenzied activities online and offline to get ready for our upcoming book promotion. It is so exciting to think about all the changes coming in the near future. Not the least of which is the heating-up of political campaigns on the right and on the left for the 2008 elections.
Philanthropists Bill Gates and Eli Broad are getting actively involved in keeping improvement in USA schools on the front-burner, with their $60 million dollar program “Strong American Schools”. Katie Couric explains in the following CBS video:
Now is the time for every American with an interest in better public schools (which should be every American with a shred of patriotic pride) to become informed about what the candidates REALLY believe can improve education. Did you know that Guilliani supports vouchers? What do Obama & Hillary propose? NOW is the time to find out what their intentions are and not just be swayed by catchy slogans.
No matter which political party you endorse you MUST learn what each candidate stands for. Bill Gates & Eli Broad plan to make education an issue on the forefront of all the candidates’ platforms.
This time money will be on the side of our students.
Way to go!
