June is here already!
Can you believe it is already June? Summer vacation is alive & well. With school out for the summer, this is the perfect time to catch your breath and read a few good books. May I recommend a VERY GOOD book? Many of these students confided in me that they were “on their way to trouble” when Mr. Kingsland helped them see a better future for themselves. (It’s so funny to see all of these young adults address Don as Mr. Kingsland, when they are so grown-up and successful in their own lives.)

Blogging for student excellence
It is mind-boggling to consider all the avenues of communication available to people today. Whether it’s a cell phone, a blog post or a social networking video, etc. etc. etc. – we have the tools to straighten-out public education quickly! What is needed is a united front and a unified effort to apply modern knowledge to combat the existing problems in our schools. Updated teaching techniques and complete education reform is imperative – and so is the will to implement.
I’m happy that we have the new technologies. Like fire, blogging can be used for good or ill. Let’s use it to start a nationwide movement for student excellence!
